The AI Accessibility Report is a course-wide accessibility scan of your content. It checks for images without alt text, unclear link text, tables without headers, unstructured long content, and media without captions. Each issue is listed with a severity level and, where possible, a one-click AI fix so teachers can resolve issues without manually rewriting content. (This plugin is available for the Teacher role only.)
Step 1: Go to Course Page → More → AI Accessibility Report
Step 2: You'll be redirected to the AI Accessibility Report panel, where you'll see a list of all detected issues along with their Issue, Severity, and available Fix options.
You will see three pieces of information for each issue:
- Issue – describes what was found (e.g., missing alt text, unclear link text, table without headers).
- Severity – indicates how much the issue affects accessibility (e.g., High, Medium, Low).
- Fix – an AI-powered action you can take to resolve the issue directly from the report, such as "Generate alt text" or "Simplify with AI."
Step 3: To fix a missing alt text issue, click Generate alt text. This opens the AI Accessibility (Alt Text) editor, where AI will generate suggested alternative text for the image. Review the suggestion, then click Apply to add it.
Step 4: To fix unstructured or unclear content, click Simplify with AI. This opens an editor where you can review and adjust the AI-simplified version of your content. Once you're satisfied, click Apply in the lower-left corner to save the changes to your course.
