A category-level only for the assigned category: To manage more than one category, you will need to assign that role in each category separately. This role includes managing all sub-categories within the assigned category, such as creating new subcategories and moving courses.
To assign a category level:
Step 1: Go to Site Administration> Courses > Manage courses and categories > Select the category you wish to assign > Action menu >
Step 2: From the drop-down menu select the 'Assign roles'
Step 3: Choose a role and select a user you wish to assign by clicking the 'Add' button
