Guest access in Moodle allows non-registered users to enter a course without creating an account. This feature is useful for:
- Open courses
- Sharing resources
- Previewing course content
Steps to Enable Guest Access:
1. Enable Guest Login Button
- Go to Site Administration > Plugins > Authentication > Manage Authentication.
- Set the Guest login button to "Show" if you want the button to appear on the front page.
- Click Save changes.
2. Enable Guest Access for a Course
- Navigate to your desired course and click on Participants.
- From the dropdown menu, select Enrollment Methods.
- If Guest access is already listed:Enable it by clicking the eye icon to make it visible. Click the pencil icon next to it to configure its settings.
- If Guest access is not listed: From the Add method dropdown menu, select Guest access.
- In the Allow guest access setting, choose Yes.
- Optionally, set a password for guest access.
- Click Save changes.

Guest User Experience:
Once guest access is enabled:
- Upon clicking Log in, users will see an Access as a guest button.
- Clicking this button grants access to the course content without requiring a username or password.
